Academic Achievement Games 2020

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the NCAA not allowing the college coaches to go out and recruit, and the uncertainty of the Wheeling Park District being open in July, we are unfortunately cancelling our event.

We have waited as long as we can to see if we could somehow still hold our event, but we know a lot of you have travel arrangements to handle, so we have made the decision to cancel.

We want you to know that Classic Softball and the owners have the safety of our campers and their families as our number one priority.  We also want you to know that we are looking at doing some sort of showcase in the winter if possible.  Please follow us on social media for updates.

This year’s event would have been one of the best events we have run so far because of the quality of student-athletes that were signed up, twenty of the top college coaches in the NCAA hired as on-field coaches, and the number of college coaches who would have been in attendance.

We have informed Ryzer/Myonlinecamps to start refunds.  Please look for correspondence from them and for your credit cards to be refunded.  Please note that Classic Softball and the on-field college coaches will not be taking any money for this year’s showcase.

We have two options for you to choose from:

Option 1) A full refund minus a flat fee from Ryzer to cover incurred costs such as credit card processing fees, etc.

Each time someone registers for an event on that platform the credit card brands, issuing bank, and payment processor charge the platform where we host our registration

(Myonline Camps) a non-refundable fee.

Option 2) A credit for the full amount to attend one of our future camps, including the 2021 Academic Achievement Games in July of 2021.

An email with a Google Form has been sent to each registered participant and their parent or guardian.  Please make sure your form is filled out and sent back by June 8, 2020.

Please stay safe.

The 2020 Academic Achievement Games is a two-day event on Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday July 8.  The 2019 Academic Achievement Games had more than 250 participants from 33 different states and 4 additional players from Canada.  More than 50 college coaches were in attendance to evaluate and assess the high-caliber student-athletes participating in this academic showcase.  The number of participating players and college coaches in attendance will be even larger for the 2020 Academic Achievement Games.

The 2020 Academic Achievement Games will be played at Heritage Park in Wheeling, IL, which has four turf fields and is one of the top outdoor venues for baseball and softball tournaments.  In case of inclement weather, the Academic Achievement Games will be moved to The Dome at The Ballpark in Rosemont, IL.
