THE CLASSIC DIFFERENCE……

Twenty college softball coaches from the best academic institutions in the country will provide direct instruction to all participating players. These twenty college coaches from Division 3 through Division 1 softball programs will have additional interaction with players over the course of this two-day showcase as they will coach the teams during the live games. In addition to the coaches working he Academic Achievement Games, many more college coaches will be in attendance to evaluate all participating players. (Coaches who are attending and working the camp will be updated as they commit).

  • College coaches will have an opportunity to evaluate your talents as you take reps
  • College coaches will be able to see you in drill work as well as games
  • To get my profile including contact information, academic information, academic/athletic honors and individual stats in the hands of college coaches
  • You will be tested on the measurables that college coaches are looking for and have those results sent to college coaches to review

Classic Softball will have an athletic trainer on hand throughout the duration of the camp. The trainer will take care of any emergencies. 

In the event of inclement weather, Classic Softball reserves the right to change the scheduled showcase activities at its discretion.  All adjustments made to the schedule are done to ensure maximum exposure for all participating players and direct interaction with college coaches.  These changes include, but are not limited to time, location, instruction, skill assessments, and number of games.  Regardless of any changes made to the schedule by Classic Softball, all events are non-refundable in the event of inclement weather.

Specific instructions on arrival time for Day 1 are sent via our pre-camp email to enrolled families. Typically, players should check-in early (around 7:00 am) on the morning of Day 1. 

Classic Softball does not provide lunch or any meals for campers. The Wheeling Park District concession stand will be open during all camp hours for players and family members. There are also numerous restaurants near the fields.

YES. Classic Softball provides all evaluations to the coaches both at camp and, in digital form, following the camp. The information is for the college coaches and will also be sent to the players and parents). The athletic assessments will be conducted and sent to all college coaches in attendance. 

We cannot control how coaches choose to evaluate the athletes. Many coaches choose the area they most need to recruit and watch each athlete come through that station. This ensures that the coach sees every athlete perform at least that skill and does not miss athletes as he/she wanders around the complex.

Classic Softball cannot control whether or not the coaches attend, but the coaches have indicated their commitment to attend.

No, Classic Softball will be providing jerseys to be worn for the Showcase. 

Yes. All camp results will be sent within one week of the camp.

You will receive high quality instruction from COLLEGE COACHES! Both in fundamentals and games.
